Hey everyone! Coach CJ Amber here in the lovely ENC “The Big East” and I am excited to coach this year with Carolina Vibe! Volleyball is my life! I strive to grow the game together as a community and abroad, creating our own memories, making volleyball a sport where everyone wants to play, creating an inspirational environment with a Positive Mental Attitude, PMA! In addition to volleyball, I have a diverse Aviation background, Military Aviation, USMC, graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Southern Illinois University (Aviation/Aerospace Systems Engineering, Aviation Management, and Aviation Systems Technology).
I have been involved with Volleyball as a player for over 37 years and as a coach for over 20 years. I started playing Volleyball on the sunny beaches of Florida and ventured off to playing Volleyball up and down the East Coast and West Coast, Europe, in High School, College at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Stetson University (Club), US Marine Volleyball Team, USA Men’s Indoor Volleyball - Domestic, USA Men’s Beach Volleyball, National Volleyball League - NVL, American Volleyball Professional, AVP, All American, Open and Pro Level Athlete, and various Professional and Amateur Indoor and Beach Volleyball leagues and tournaments.
In addition to coaching multiple sports, my volleyball coaching experience includes Craven County Parks and Recreation indoor and sand volleyball, St. Paul indoor volleyball, TRVC, USA Beach volleyball, The Epiphany School indoor and sand volleyball, New Bern High School sand volleyball, West Craven High School indoor volleyball, Croatan High School sand volleyball, Swansboro High School sand volleyball, and Sinjin Beach Volleyball Club.
Some of my Coaching Awards and Accolades include: Coach of the Year Awards, USA Volleyball Meritorious Service Award, High School State Champions - Beach, and National Champions - Beach with USAV and AVP.
I am dedicated to improving the lives of the youth through developing athletes from beginner to elite, to prepare them for the next level of volleyball.
